NewJeans’ ‘How Sweet’ ranked 35th on Rolling Stone’s ‘100 Best Songs of 2024’

NewJeans’ track ‘How Sweet’ has been ranked 35th on Rolling Stone’s ‘100 Best Songs of 2024’, a list released on December 3rd. 

The American music magazine praised the song, stating, “‘How Sweet’ continues NewJeans’ streak of experimental, fresh, and original music.”

Rolling Stone highlighted the group’s distinctive sound, saying, “Since their debut in 2022, NewJeans has introduced sounds and genres rarely seen in K-pop. ‘How Sweet’ is no exception, with its vibrant electropop beat contrasting beautifully with bright, resonant vocals.”

In addition to its placement on Rolling Stone’s list, ‘How Sweet’ also earned a spot on PopMatters’ ‘The 15 Best K-Pop Songs of 2024.’ 

The American media outlet described the track as “another stunning highlight in NewJeans’ discography.” It noted, “NewJeans exudes natural charm as they embrace the bouncy beat of the song. ‘How Sweet’ represents yet another peak in their journey to push boundaries.”
