On the December 11th episode of MBC's Brewer Lee, Lee Jang Woo revealed his plans to marry Jo Hye Won.
In the episode, Lee Jang Woo met with young people working to revive a closed-down brewery. At his request to save them, the team examined the yeast under a microscope. They discovered that an excess of lactic acid bacteria, rather than yeast, was causing issues. Lee Jang Woo learned that controlling these bacteria is the essence of brewing and gained a deeper understanding of makgeolli (Korean rice wine).
Together, they made makgeolli using both traditional and modern methods. Demonstrating his experimental spirit, Lee Jang Woo added unconventional ingredients like watermelon to the brew.
During the show, one of the guests asked, "You’re so good at cooking, so why aren’t you married yet?" Lee Jang Woo responded, "I’m preparing for next year," revealing his plans to marry Jo Hye Won.
