On December 29, actor Park Sung Hoon uploaded an image featuring Japanese adult video (AV) actors of a porn parody of 'Squid Game' to his social media account without any caption, only to delete it shortly afterward.
After the incident blew up, a representative from his agency, BH Entertainment, told DongA.com, “Park Sung Hoon received an overwhelming number of direct messages (DMs) on his social media. While checking the DMs, he accidentally uploaded the image.”
The agency added, “The actor himself was deeply shocked and feels extremely sorry for making such a mistake, especially in these circumstances. He will be more careful in the future to ensure this does not happen again.”
Netizens reacted negatively, speculating:
“He probably thought it was his private account.”
“Now we know how he spends his free time, disappointing.”
“What an embarrassment.”
"After Jung Woo Sung... well, they’re all the same, aren’t they? It’s all just an image... I just hope the actors or idols I like don’t get caught doing something like this. Ignorance is bliss, I suppose... Sighhhhh..."
"This is so off-putting, lol. You know what kind of person men who get supported and shielded by other men turn out to be, right? Complete trash, for example: Yoon Seok Yeol, Lee Jun Seok, Ppeokkga, Hong Joon Pyo."
"Didn’t he say on 'You Quiz' that he had a tough upbringing with his mom? What’s going on with him?"
"I got to know him when he appeared on 'You Quiz,' but this side of him is so different from back then."
"Seriously, double standards, lol. Imagine if a female actor posted something like that. The forums would be flooded, and baseless rumors would be everywhere, lol."
"I always thought his personality was questionable, even back when he did that private impersonation of a conversation with Song Kang Ho."
"Wow, this is really disappointing."
"Turns out Jeon Jae Joon was his true self, huh. Idiot."
"I saw the uncensored cover, and it’s way past the level of being just provocative—it’s violent."
"This is such a turn-off. Men still watch porn even when they’re older, huh."
Park Sung Hoon recently appeared in 'Squid Game Season 2' and was cast in 'The Tyrant's Chef,' where he is set to work alongside Girls' Generation member and actress YoonA.
Previously, he gained widespread popularity for his role as Jeon Jae Joon in 'The Glory' and received praise for his villainous performance in this year's drama 'Queen of Tears.'
