Group IVE has achieved a new milestone ahead of their comeback in January next year.
On the 3rd, Starship Entertainment, the group’s agency, announced, "The music video for 'After Like,' the title track of Ive's third single album released on August 22, 2022, has surpassed 300 million views on YouTube as of December 2."
Released on August 22, 2022, 'After Like' is a mega-hit song by Ive that blends various genres, including EDM, pop, and house, with a kick rhythm as its foundation. Upon release, it achieved a Perfect All-Kill (PAK) by topping multiple music charts across platforms such as Melon, Genie, Bugs, Flo, Vibe, Korean Spotify, and Korean YouTube Music. It also won 14 music show trophies, cementing its success.
Additionally, the song demonstrated its global popularity by ranking on the Billboard Global 200 (peaking at 20th) for 17 weeks and on the Billboard Global (excluding the U.S.) chart (peaking at 9th) for 25 consecutive weeks.
The 'After Like' music video showcases the artistry of director Noh Sang Yoon, renowned for his distinctive visual aesthetics and concepts, along with Pasikum, Korea's top fireworks director. Their collaboration produced a spectacle reminiscent of CG-level grandeur, leaving viewers in awe. Ive captivated fans worldwide with their dazzling visuals, symbolic color styling, and dynamic imagery, which were perfectly complemented by the music video's scale and fireworks effects.
Meanwhile, Ive successfully wrapped up a 37-date world tour across 28 cities in 19 countries this year and is gearing up for their highly anticipated comeback in January next year.
