Former T-ara member Ahreum publicly aired her conflicts with her current husband.
On December 4, Ahreum shared screenshots of text conversations with her husband and father-in-law on her personal social media, expressing her anger.
In the messages shared by Ahreum, her husband accused her, saying, "You hit Jae Ha and Jae Yi, abandoned Mi Deum, and drank alcohol while pregnant. What’s wrong with you? If people find out about this, it’s going to cause a lot of controversy."
In response, Ahreum refuted the claims, saying, "I hit my kids? Wow, anyone watching from above must be laughing at how absurd this is." She continued, "If I drank alcohol while pregnant, how did Mi Deum turn out so healthy, and how is the baby in my belly growing so well right now? Even with all the stress caused by someone like you, the baby is holding on tight. Don’t you feel sorry for your child?"
She added, "If living and meeting someone like you was my hell on Earth, then I hope you end up in hell after death. If I end up writing a will and dying, it will be all your fault. Even if I don’t die, I’ll make sure to torment you until the day I do. Remember that." Ahreum also expressed the emotional toll of her situation in her post.
Ahreum also shared conversations with her father-in-law. In one message, Ahreum wrote, "Please either send him [Ahreum's husband] to a psychiatric hospital or decide to raise Mi-deum with him, and I will follow your decision." In response, Ahreum's father-in-law replied, "I’m sorry, and I have nothing to say." Additionally, Ahreum entrusted her third child to her father-in-law, saying, "Please take good care of the child."
Regarding her husband, who is a writer, Ahreum made shocking claims, stating, "Schizophrenia. Pretending to be a writer, you think speaking eloquently makes you something special. You seem to think you're always right." She added, "I endured because I wanted to respect your father and take care of the children, but you seem to believe I’ll stay because I’m still pregnant. If you want to claim that I abandoned my children, stop being inconsistent and acting low, and start behaving like a proper human being."
On December 3, Ahreum had previously drawn attention by mentioning issues of violence, mental illness, and her children. While her remarks were initially interpreted as targeting her ex-husband, she later clarified they were not directed at him. Based on the messages released, her criticisms were aimed at her current husband. The public airing of her conflicts with him has caused widespread surprise.
Meanwhile, Ahreum revealed last year that she had divorced her ex-husband and remarried her current husband. In October, she garnered attention by announcing the birth of her third child, and more recently, she disclosed her pregnancy with her fourth child.
