As national singer Baek Ji Young took to a radio interview with 'SBS PowerFM' for her new album, the diva reveals that she planned on releasing a dance duet but failed to find a suitable male singer to feature on it.
Baek Ji Young’s first such collaboration in 2009 with 2PM’s Taecyeon, “Candy in My Ears,” took the nation by storm. Not only was the concept of a powerful balladeer and idol rapper fresh, but the catchy tune and sensual dance also captivated many.
Baek Ji Young states that the last time she released a dance duet, Taecyeon was 12 years younger than her, and laments that the next possible collab might feature an even greater age gap, considering the currently active dance singers available. Upon the radio host’s suggestion of Monsta X’s Shownu, Baek Ji Young responded with a wide smile on her face.
