On December 9th, JYP Entertainment posted an official statement titled “Response to Malicious Rumors about Artists” on DAY6’s official fan community, addressing false information being spread about member Dowoon.
The agency stated, “Recently, baseless falsehoods about Dowoon have been indiscriminately disseminated and reproduced. In response, we intend to take strong action against the creation and malicious spread of such unfounded rumors targeting DAY6 and its members.”
They further warned, “If these activities continue—spreading falsehoods, escalating rumors, or reproducing them indiscriminately, which harm the honor and dignity of our artists—we will take strict legal action.”
The agency emphasized, “We will make every effort to protect our artists. There will be no leniency or settlements, and we will pursue all available legal measures.”
Dowoon’s group, DAY6, released their 8th mini-album ‘Fourever’ in March, followed by their 9th mini-album ‘Band Aid’ in September, promoting the title track ‘Melt Down.’
DAY6 is set to hold a special concert titled ‘The Present’ on December 20th and 21st at the Gocheok Sky Dome, where they will connect with domestic fans. Afterward, in January 2025, the group will kick off their third world tour ‘FOREVER YOUNG’ with performances in Kaohsiung and Hong Kong.
