After President Yoon Suk Yeol declared and then lifted martial law within six hours following a parliamentary resolution, numerous celebrities have voiced their opinions.
Writer and broadcaster Heo Ji Woong shared a brief but striking message: “I can’t endure this any longer.” While he did not provide further explanation, the timing of his post—immediately after the martial law declaration—suggested his discontent with the situation.
Kim Na Young wrote on her social media, “I have nothing to say to my child,” expressing her distress. Similarly, actress Kang Sung Yeon shared an emotional message: “After sending the kids to school and clearing the table, I saw this photo and couldn’t help but sit down, overwhelmed by anger, fear, sadness, and guilt. I’m supposed to prepare a bright and hopeful future for you, and you deserve it. I’m so sorry.”
Park Myung Soo, speaking on his live radio show ‘Radio Show’ after the martial law was lifted, admitted, “I barely slept last night. It was such an absurd situation.” He added, “This was a matter of national significance, and I’m sure many others stayed up all night as well.”
He continued, “Who could sleep when something like this was happening? There’s much I’d like to say, but things are being sorted out, and everyone is working quickly to restore normalcy. Let’s trust and wait.”
Broadcaster Kim Soo Yong shared a cryptic yet attention-grabbing post, saying, “A solitary cell must be cold,” accompanied by a photo of a snow-covered landscape, leaving viewers pondering its meaning.
