BTS’s RM, currently serving in the military, left a heartfelt letter for fans.
On December 5, RM posted a message on Weverse, beginning with, "How are you all doing?" He wrote, "Though it feels awkward to ask how you're doing these days, as time passes day by day, it's already December, and winter is in full swing."
He continued, "In four days, it will mark one year since I enlisted. Although I won’t be able to spend this Christmas with you and can only greet you through the documentary, I hope you’ll believe and feel that my heart is always sincerely with you. Perhaps that's just my wishful thinking."
RM shared, "Time has a way of passing, and so do the many events that unfold. Recently, I’ve been frequently calling the members. It feels like we’ve grown a little closer than when we were living, breathing, and spending time together. It’s strange, isn’t it? I suppose that’s just how life works."
He added, "Is there any other way to say it? I miss you—that’s all there is to it. In my own way, I’m reading, writing, and preparing for the day I’m discharged. Although there’s still some time left, I hope to make 2025 a bit more meaningful."
RM concluded, "Let’s stay healthy! It’s sad and lonely when we’re unwell. I miss you. Let’s get through this long winter together. Thank you for the love you’ve given me over the past year—thank you, thank you. I love you. I’ll think of you often. Please, just stay well!"
In response, V left a comment saying, "I feel the same way."
RM enlisted on December 11 last year and is currently serving as a sergeant in the Army’s 15th Infantry Division’s military band. He is scheduled to be discharged on June 10, 2025.
On the same day (the 5th), RM’s documentary film, 'RM: Light People, Long Place,' premiered.
