On December 20 KST, media outlet Sports Kyeonghyang claimed that it has obtained a copy of F.T. Island member Choi Minhwan's police investigation report. 

Previously, faced allegations of Choi Minhwan soliciting prostitution on July 9, 2022, after contacting an adult entertainment establishment broker and asking for a reservation. During his interrogation, Choi Minhwan reportedly told the police, "It's true that I frequently visited adult entertainment establishments through the broker 'A', but I never solicited prostitution. I don't even remember if I ended up going to an establishment that night." 

'A', who was also questioned by the police, testified, "The conversation with Choi Minhwan that day was for a reservation at an adult entertainment establishment, not a prostitution business."

Furthermore, according to the police report, Choi Minhwan's ex-wife Yulhee refused to attend an interrogation regarding the case, and also declined when asked to submit the original phone recording. As a result, the police concluded Choi Minhwan's case due to a "lack of sufficient evidence". Another investigation into allegations of sexual harassment was also concluded by the police after Yulhee testified, "I do not wish for this case to proceed with an investigation or punishment, for the sake of the children." 

Meanwhile, on December 19 KST, Choi Minhwan addressed fans of F.T. Island on Weverse, claiming, "I have never engaged in prostitution as reported by the media," and "The mention of hotels and motels in the recording was because I wanted to be alone at the time." However, the musician's "explanation" was met with harsh criticism from netizens, who accused Choi Minhwan of "dodging blame".
