Seventeen is continually expanding the boundaries of K-pop, embodying their status as true “K-pop icons.”
According to their agency, Pledis Entertainment, Seventeen will perform at "Tecate Pa’l Norte 2025" in Monterrey, Mexico, from April 4-6, 2025, marking their 10th anniversary. This will be the first time a K-pop group performs at Pa’l Norte, one of the largest music festivals in Latin America, which draws over 100,000 attendees each day.
This appearance is especially notable as it will be Seventeen’s first return to Mexico in five years, following their "Ode to You" world tour in January 2020. Seventeen aims to reconnect with local fans while also introducing new audiences to K-pop.
Seventeen has previously made their mark at other major festivals, highlighting the global presence of K-pop artists. In June, they performed at the UK’s "Glastonbury Festival," stepping onto a European stage for the first time in their nine-year career. The group traveled 9,000 km from Seoul to London for a single performance, which caught the attention of local music publication DORK, which noted that "no other K-pop group would even attempt such a move,"
Their passionate performance filled the main stage, with real-time streaming showing the swelling crowds captivated by their magnetic show. British music magazine NME observed, "Even those unfamiliar with SEVENTEEN found themselves swept up in the exhilarating cheers."
In September, Seventeen broadened their reach by headlining "Lollapalooza Berlin," building momentum ahead of the release of their 12th mini album and a new world tour. With a fresh setlist, Seventeen left a strong impression in Berlin, expressing, "We want to give it our all and hope that people who see our stage will be intrigued by our charm."
Seventeen continues to expand their stage presence, meeting North American fans through their "SEVENTEEN LIGHT YOUR WORLD TOUR." After stops in New York and San Antonio last month, they are set to perform in Oakland, Los Angeles, and then in four domes in Japan and major cities across Asia.
