Singer Lim Young Woong's fandom 'Age of Hero' has recently warmed hearts as they continue to support marginalized communities with compassion and dedication.
On November 16, Age of Hero’s volunteer group, "Raon," held its 41st meal service at "Rodem House" in Yangpyeong, a facility for children with severe disabilities.
In addition to serving freshly prepared meals, Raon took part in a seasonal kimchi-making event, donating 2.75 million KRW (~1,976 USD). Remarkably, they prepared 2,500 heads of cabbage for Rodem House’s winter supply—a significant increase from last year’s 1,600 heads, showcasing the scale of their efforts.
A Raon representative shared, "Hearing that nearly twice as many cabbages—2,500 heads—had been prepared compared to last year, we set off for Yangpyeong early, feeling both anxious and excited. But seeing how our efforts would help support the children at Rodem House made the hard work incredibly rewarding."
To keep spirits high during the demanding work, volunteers played Lim Young Woong's songs, adding a joyful energy to the day.
Raon’s volunteer efforts began three years and five months ago. In addition to Rodem House, they have extended support to single-room housing communities, the “box villages” of Yongsan, the Seoul Children's Welfare Association, and The Hopeful People. Their initiatives have included meal services and donations to fund youth programs supporting independence.
Since last year, Raon has also been assisting young patients with serious illnesses at Seoul National University Children's Hospital, bringing their total donations to an impressive 134.33 million KRW (~96,511 USD).
Netizens were moved by the fan club's dedication, with comments such as, “The fans reflect the artist’s spirit,” “This is so heartwarming to see,” “2,500 heads of cabbage—what an amazing effort,” “The real heroes are the fans,” and “This is the true power of positive influence.”
Meanwhile, Lim Young Woong is preparing for his 'Lim Young Woong Recital' concerts, scheduled for December 27–29 and January 2–4 at Gocheok Sky Dome. Audiences can look forward to his unique interpretations of classic songs, bridging generations with a performance full of warmth, laughter, and inspiration.
