National soccer player Kim Min Jae has officially announced his divorce.
On October 21st, Kim Min Jae’s agency, Orange Ball, released a statement saying, "After careful consideration, Kim Min Jae has decided to end his marriage and has amicably completed the divorce process."
The statement continued, "The two made the decision to divorce due to differences in personality and will continue to support each other as they go their separate ways. As parents, they will prioritize their child and do their utmost."
The agency also expressed Kim Min Jae’s thoughts, "We apologize for delivering unfortunate news to the fans who have supported and loved Kim Min Jae. As always, he remains committed to showing his best on the field."
Kim Min Jae married in 2020 while playing for Beijing Guoan in China, and the marriage lasted just over four years. The couple has one daughter.
After his marriage, Kim Min Jae embarked on various challenges as a player. In the summer of 2021, he left Beijing and transferred to Fenerbahçe in Turkey. The following year, he moved to Italy’s Napoli, where he experienced great success, winning the Serie A title and being named Best Defender. Last year, he transferred to Bayern Munich in Germany, continuing to change teams on a yearly basis.
