As “APT.” achieved its first RAK at 2PM on October 19, BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Bruno Mars have become the tenth artists to attain ‘Real-Time All-Kill (RAK)’ status on 2024 Korean charts.
Apart from being a rare feat,RAKs are asignificant marker of domestic success across all ages, as it refers to simultaneously topping four of Korea’s major music streaming platforms: MelOn, FLO, Genie, and Bugs.
Rosé and Bruno Mars’ first RAK comes just 25 hours after the feel-good duet was released, and it is also the first time either artist has achieved an RAK. It is also the first time a song with predominantly English lyrics has done so.
As chart rankings are updated hourly, multiple RAKs indicate enduring popularity. "APT." has currently accumulated a whopping 30 RAKs as of October 20, 8 PM KST, demonstrating domestic success with the Korean public, in addition to its global popularity that is breaking all sorts of personal records for both artists.
In other news, Rosé's first full solo album ‘rosie’ with twelve songs is currently available for pre-order, and it will be released on December 6.
