Netizens ask 'How much did HYBE pay you?' after one media outlet calls the parliamentary audit's attack on HYBE 'unfair'

AKP STAFF

On October 26 KST, media outlet TENAsia published an article titled, "Unfounded Slander Has Crossed The Line... The Shameful and Pitiful Parliamentary Audit That Attacked HYBE".

The article claimed, "It was absurd, and the acceptable answers were already pre-determined. It was a parliamentary audit that surpassed the level of shameful and reached a level of pitiful."

It continued to claim that national assemblyman Min Hyung Bae posed "unfair" and "illogical" questions to Chief Operating Officer Kim Tae Ho of HYBE Labels, publicly exposing HYBE's 'Weekly Trend Review' document just to make it seem as if HYBE itself had composed the document's controversial content, and not "online users", as Kim Tae Ho stated.

TENAsia further asserted that such 'Weekly Trend Review' reports were used by all of the other Big 4 companies including JYP Entertainment, SM Entertainment, and YG Entertainment, and therefore, "cannot be considered inappropriate"

In addition, the article argued that it was a "mistake" on the part of the National Assembly to summon NewJeans member Hanni as a witness for the parliamentary audit when "she is not even Korean" and "gets paid 5.2 billion KRW"

After its publication, the TENAsia article quickly garnered attention from online netizens for its blatantly "biased" position. Many raised suspicions that TENAsia had been "paid" by HYBE Labels in a form of "media play", meant to sway the public's opinion in favor of a certain party.

K-netizens commented,

"For real, how much did this media outlet get paid??"
"I think the real shameful and pitiful thing here is that you actually wrote an article like this?"
"Can you even call yourself the press lol."
"HYBE hired a mercenary kekekeke."
"I've read a lot of media articles with bullsh*t... but this one just might take the cake."
"Why is the press writing worse content than the cyber wreckers out there?"
"Does HYBE consider the National Assembly a joke? Yes kekekekekekeke."
"Can someone please bring down this disgusting entertainment company before it seriously convinces itself that it can get away with anything."
"Oh but HYBE, we know there's so much more dirt where that came from that you can get in some big trouble for... bribery, overworking employees, forging profit reports..."
"Does HYBE think it can take on the National Assembly? Apparently there's no tomorrow?"
"It's so disconcerting if you think about the big money backing that HYBE must have behind it to act like that against the National Assembly."
"Unfounded slander? Isn't that a biography of HYBE?"
"I hope the National Assembly cracks down on this sh*t company and all the illegal stuff it's been getting away with."
