Actress Jeon Jong Seo has sparked controversy after it was discovered that she was following an account known for posting malicious comments about fellow actress Lee Hyeri.
Recently, online communities have been abuzz with discussions about Jeon Jong Seo following an account that has repeatedly left hateful remarks on Lee Hyeri's personal Instagram. Netizens pointed out that it was strange Jeon Jong Seo followed this account considering the fact that she was only only following five accounts in total, fueling the controversy.
The account in question has posted several harsh comments, such as, "You must have enjoyed the sudden surge in likes thanks to Han So Hee, although they’ve all disappeared now.," and "The intelligence level of someone who thinks they can even reach 17 million in the first place..." These comments have upset fans, who are confused by Jeon Jong Seo's apparent connection to the account.
Many fans are puzzled by Jeon Jong Seo's decision to follow the account. While some suggest it could be an accidental follow, others argue that following the account for several months makes it unlikely to be a simple mistake. There have also been rumors that the malicious Hyeri commenter account may belong to Han So Hee. Since Jeon Jong Seo and Han So Hee are well-known close friends in the industry, many speculate that Jeon Jong Seo had been following Han So Hee’s private account.
When approached for comment, Jeon Jong Seo’s agency, ANDMARQ, told ‘Sports Chosun’ on October 16, "We are currently checking on the matter," without providing further details. Since the controversy, Jeon Jong Seo has unfollowed the account.
