Actress Han So Hee has purchased a luxury penthouse in the Artist Village of Achiu-dong, Guri, Gyeonggi Province, for 5.2 billion KRW (~3.8 million USD).

According to a report by Herald Economy on October 20, Han So Hee bought the 203㎡ duplex penthouse in "Arcadia Signature" on August 21. She completed the payment and transferred ownership on September 30. According to the real estate register, a mortgage for 1.1 billion KRW (~798,578 USD) has been placed on the property by a commercial bank.

Han So Hee had been living in the nearby Villard de Gréum W, which she purchased for 1.95 billion KRW (1.4 million USD) in cash in December 2021, drawing attention. She recently revealed that she is staying in a hotel as she prepares to move into her new home.

Her new residence, Arcadia Signature, consists of only eight units in a building with two basement levels and four above-ground floors. It is the only property in the Artist Village with a private access road, ensuring privacy for residents. The penthouse offers views of Achasan Mountain and the Han River, and its duplex layout allows for flexible space utilization. The property features four bedrooms, three bathrooms, an attic, and a rooftop terrace.

Guri's Artist Village has become a rising affluent neighborhood where residents can enjoy a private countryside lifestyle while being only 15 minutes by car from Gangnam, Seoul. Notable residents include actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, actress Oh Yeon Seo, and soccer player Kim Min Jae.

However, Han So Hee has recently faced scrutiny due to controversies over her personal life. In September, it was revealed that her mother, Ms. Shin, was arrested for running an illegal gambling operation. Ms. Shin is accused of using a nominee business to operate 12 gambling halls in Ulsan and Wonju from 2021 until last month. Prosecutors allege that customers gambled at these halls by accessing a gambling site operated by Ms. Shin, where they played games such as baccarat.

At the time, Han So Hee's agency stated, "This is an entirely personal matter involving her mother, and Han So Hee herself only learned of this through news reports and is deeply distressed."

More recently, Han So Hee faced accusations of operating a private Instagram account used to post malicious comments about fellow actress Hyeri. Her agency responded, "The SNS account exposed in the media is not Han So Hee's, and we will take full legal responsibility if the claims prove false."

Actress Jung Jong Seo, who is a well-known close friend of Han So Hee, was also embroiled in the latest controversy after it was discovered that she was also following the social media account responsible for leaving malicious comments on Hyeri’s posts.

Despite the controversy, Jung Jong Seo shared a photo speculated to be the interior of Han So Hee's new home, garnering much attention.
