On October 14, Taiwanese media outlet Sanli News Network reported that 12-year-old Cambodian Princess Jenna Norodom is considering moving to Korea to pursue her dream of debuting as a K-pop idol.
Jenna is already a well-known figure in Cambodia's entertainment industry. At the age of eight, she was chosen as a model for a major telecommunications company, and she now boasts over 120,000 Instagram followers. She has also gained recognition in the Chinese entertainment industry through appearances in fashion shows and Chinese programs.
The media outlet noted, "With her unique appearance and excellent acting skills, many expect her to become 'the next Lisa' or 'the next Minnie.' Her impressive singing and dancing abilities have also garnered attention. Jenna plans to move to Korea to become an idol trainee."
Jenna is the great-granddaughter of Norodom Sihanouk, the 110th King of Cambodia. Her mother, Princess Norodom Bupphary, is King Sihanouk's daughter, and her father is a wealthy French businessman.
At 12 years old, Jenna is reportedly fluent in five languages, including her native Khmer (Cambodian), Thai, Chinese, and French.
She is also well known for being a huge K-pop fan. During a visit to Korea in 2020 as part of a Cambodian cultural and economic delegation, she revealed that she is a fan of BLACKPINK, TWICE, and MOMOLAND. In an interview with YTN's Global Korean last year, she expressed her love for K-pop music and dance.
Jenna has already appeared on the Cambodian TV show Khmer TV, and in 2022, she released a song titled "You Da One." Earlier this year, she starred in the Cambodian horror film 'The Night Curse of Reatrei,' for which she won the Best New Actress Award at the 2nd Cambodia Asia Film Festival.
