Singer DAWN reimagined as a virtual artist.

Virtual content production company Oneness Korea (CEO Kim Jin Soo) has reimagined singer DAWN, a former member of the idol group PENTAGON and current solo artist, as a new concept virtual artist named Edan Maverick.

Since late May this year, Edan Maverick has been sharing various artworks and unique concept content through social media. From October 10th to 13th KST, Edan successfully held his first exhibition at both the Saatchi Gallery and Outernet in London during the “2024 FOCUS ART FAIR,” marking his official debut as an artist.

This exhibition came to fruition through a proposal from the organizers, who were captivated by Edan Maverick’s distinctive artistic vision. Centering on his creation concept, BLACK SHEEP, the artworks used fabric to present this theme in a unique style. These pieces captured the attention of many artists and visitors at the Saatchi Gallery, earning interest from the “2024 FOCUS ART FAIR” for future events.

Moreover, Edan Maverick’s concept video, crafted using 3D and generative AI technology, was highly praised as “fantastic media art” upon its unveiling. The video attracted numerous collaboration inquiries from brands participating in the event.

Edan Maverick aims to go beyond the traditional roles of singer and model, exploring fields such as fine art, sculpture, fashion, ceramics, and illustration through collaborations with active artists. He pursues a concept of expanding his artistic universe, seeking to differentiate himself from existing virtual humans by enriching his content and narrative. His goal is to evolve into a unique intellectual property (IP), transcending mere technological expression.

Oneness Korea, led by CEO Kim Jin Soo, who was involved in the Rozy project—Korea’s first virtual influencer—specializes in virtual content production. The company integrates 3D and AI to introduce innovative content within the virtual industry.

CEO Kim Jin Soo of Oneness Korea stated, “Based on the BLACK SHEEP concept, Edan Maverick will explore various forms of art, including sculpture, painting, ceramics, and illustration, in collaboration with artists from diverse fields. We aim to share these endeavors with the public through social media.” He added, “Edan Maverick’s journey will significantly influence how the public perceives virtual humans, and as his feed continues to grow, so will his value.”
