On the 29th, a video titled "No Need for Words. Our Dongske is World Class. Can BTS Jin Really Do This?" was released on YouTube channel ‘Neighborhood Star K’ featuring an interview with BTS’s Jin.
In the video, host Jonathan asked Jin if he considers himself a "world-class" star. Jin acknowledged his international activities but admitted he doesn’t fully perceive his world star status.
Jonathan marveled at BTS’s six music videos with over one billion views, which Jin seemed unaware of, responding nonchalantly. When asked if there was a specific moment when he felt BTS had achieved success, Jin replied, “I never really felt a particular moment like that. I just worked hard, and somehow, it led to where we are now.”
Jonathan also mentioned Jin’s recent torch-bearing role for the Paris Olympics, highlighting his interview in Korean with a French reporter, to which Jin expressed surprise, saying, “I didn’t expect to be speaking Korean in France.” Jonathan humorously remarked, “That’s true K-pride.”
The conversation touched on Jin’s admission to Konkuk University’s acting department, with Jin joking that “looks played a role back then” and modestly attributing his acceptance to luck and his dedication. Jin also shared about his college days, revealing his diligent approach to maintaining high grades by keeping in regular contact with professors.
