Former GFRIEND member Yerin expresses desire to become a fan-magnet as a solo artist.
On August 29 KST, Yerin, formerly of GFRIEND, held a roundtable interview at the Bill Entertainment headquarters in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul, to celebrate the release of her third mini-album ‘Rewrite.’ During the interview, she shared her thoughts and aspirations for her solo career.
Yerin opened up about her goals as a solo artist, saying, “My main goal is for many people to listen to my music and recognize that I’ve been very successful as a solo artist.” She added, “Success is a difficult standard to define, but I do want to hear people say that. In that sense, I hope to win first place on a music show one day. I often imagine what I would say in my acceptance speech. Winning first place would mean that people love my music.”
Yerin also shared her excitement about attracting new fans, saying, “Many of my fans have been with me since my debut, but when I hear ‘I recently became a fan’ at fan sign events, it makes me really happy. It feels like, ‘I’m still going strong.’” She smiled and added, “I’ll do my best to attract even more fans.”
Yerin’s third mini-album ‘Rewrite’ is a collection of six songs that explore the stages of love, pain, and growth in life. The title track ‘Wavy’ is a refreshing house-style song that captures Yerin’s signature bright energy.
Yerin’s third mini-album ‘Rewrite’ will be released on various online music platforms on September 4th at 6 PM.
