A kindergarten teacher in Daegu was discovered to have continuously abused 6-year-old children, prompting a police investigation. The abuse, which lasted over two months, was all captured on CCTV footage. The footage reveals disturbing scenes, such as the teacher pushing children, striking their chests, and even choking them.

One incident shows the teacher grabbing a child’s arm and throwing them to the ground. The child nearly hits their head on a shelf, but the teacher continues the abuse, later striking the child’s chest, causing the child to stumble and fall.

More children suffered similar mistreatment. The teacher used a book to jab one child’s stomach, and when the child began to cry, the teacher dragged them out of CCTV view. In another instance, a child was choked and struggled in pain after being released. The teacher repeatedly hit another child after pulling them out of a line.

Parents of the children, upon reviewing the CCTV footage, expressed regret for not noticing the abuse earlier. The abuse had gone on for more than two months after the school year started in March. After noticing unusual behavior in their children, parents asked to review the CCTV footage and reported the incidents to the police.

When the parents confronted the teacher, he gave a weak explanation, saying he only intended to discipline the children after learning about other punishments. The kindergarten denied any involvement or negligence but said they are taking steps to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The police are now expanding their investigation to check if more children were affected beyond the four seen in the CCTV footage.

Korean netizens were baffled by the abuse committed by the teacher and gathered in an online community to express their anger. They commented:

"He's a crazy bastard."

"This is a male teacher, which is disgusting."

"He's a psychopath."

"This is going to be a trauma for the kid that they can't get rid of."

"They need to punish child abusers severely."

"They need to reveal this guy's information and face."

"The kids must've been so scared."

"This is so disheartening to watch."
