It's been reported that a Chinese sasaeng fan attempted to assign the members of ENHYPEN certain seats on board a flight with illegally obtained information.
On September 4, while returning to Korea after their schedules in China, ENHYPEN's staff made an attempt to change the members' flights. However, when they tried to choose seats for the members, they found that some of the members could not choose their seats.
After reporting the issue to Air China, it was discovered that someone else had already used the personal information of some of the ENHYPEN members to create passenger profiles. A Chinese phone number was associated with these profiles, and the settings prevented the members themselves from choosing their seats on flights.
Ultimately, the members of ENHYPEN re-verified their identities in order to be able to change their flight seating.
Meanwhile, the unauthorized sale of flight information about K-Pop artists to sasaeng fans continues pose threats to the rights and privacy of artists. When possible, ENHYPEN's management HYBE Labels files legal complaints against SNS accounts attempting to sell this information for profit.
