NewJeans held an emergency meeting with current ADOR CEO Kim Joo Young.
According to music industry insiders on September 24, the NewJeans members and their parents held a meeting with Kim Joo Young on the afternoon of the 23rd. The meeting between the girl group and ADOR CEO was held 12 days following NewJeans' live stream in which they made a number of claims and requested HYBE to "restore the original ADOR," including reinstating Min Hee Jin as the CEO, by the 25th.
During the meeting with Kim Joo Young, NewJeans reportedly reiterated their requests from their live stream, and Kim Joo Young is said to have responded according to the policies in place when she took over as CEO. It's still unknown what results will come from the meeting.
As previously reported, NewJeans made claims regarding the allegedly unfair and unreasonable situations the members faced at HYBE before and after the parent company's conflicts with former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin. Hanni in particular claimed she received negative treatment from another artist's manager, and current CEO Kim Joo Young had a lukewarm response. The members further mentioned the conflict between their music video director Shin Woo Seok and the new management at ADOR.
