Jaurim’s Kim Yoon Ah reveals health issues.
Kim Yoon Ah, the lead singer of the band Jaurim, has revealed that she is experiencing health issues.
On September 3 KST, Kim Yoon Ah shared two photos on her Instagram taken from a hospital. In the photos, she is seen lying in a hospital bed receiving an IV drip. She captioned the post, “Lately, I’ve been having a series of vivid dreams when I’m unwell, which makes sense given that my vitality levels are low. I think I need to replenish with some ‘Energetic Mushroom’ and ‘Energetic Bass’ (dishes from the game The Legend of Zelda) to refill my health bar,” indicating that her recent health condition hasn’t been good.
Kim Yoon Ah previously disclosed in a broadcast last July that she has been suffering from cranial nerve paralysis for 13 years. She said, “In 2011, after making Jaurim’s 8th studio album, my immune system became so weak that I developed cranial nerve paralysis. I was born with a congenital immune deficiency, so I still receive treatment every month.”
She further explained, “At that time, the nerve paralysis affected my sense of smell, taste, hearing, pain, temperature sensitivity, and also impacted the muscles from my face to my upper body, including the vagus nerve. Even now, some functions haven’t fully recovered due to the paralysis, and I still have slight vocal issues, which I continue to manage with effort.”
Kim Yoon Ah married dentist Kim Hyung Kyu in 2006, and the couple has one son.
