IU has made history as the first female singer to perform at Korea’s largest stadium.
This past weekend, IU successfully wrapped up her encore concert, '2024 IU HEREH WORLD TOUR,' at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, popularly known as "Sangam (Stadium)."
The concert took place at Seoul’s iconic stadium, which boasts 66,704 seats, including 816 VIP seats, 754 press seats, and 75 private suites. As the largest stadium in Korea and one of the top five largest soccer-specific venues in Asia, it has hosted only a select few individual K-pop concerts, including those by Seo Taiji and Boys, Big Bang, and Seventeen.
IU is now celebrated as the first female singer and the third solo artist to ever headline this grand venue, following G-Dragon and Lim Young Woong.
During the concert, IU surprised fans with the premiere of her new song "Bye Summer." The event also drew a star-studded audience, including BTS’ V, G-Dragon, LE SSERAFIM, STAYC, RIIZE, and many more.
Netizens were quick to congratulate IU, leaving heartfelt messages and praising her for an unforgettable concert series.
