Girls' Generation's Sooyoung expressed her affection for NewJeans.

On September 11, a video titled "The Tears of Girls' Generation" was uploaded on Hyoyeon's YouTube channel 'Hyo's Level Up.'

In the video, Hyoyeon asked Sooyoung, "Is there any junior you’ve been keeping an eye on or think is really good these days?" Sooyoung responded, "There is a junior I genuinely like a lot. I really like NewJeans." Hyoyeon agreed, saying, "Yeah, they're great."

Sooyoung added, "NewJeans isn’t just cute; they’re really good (and excellent performers). They’re so good that I want to keep watching them, and I even look up all their fancams." Hyoyeon said, "You can see them growing. Even though I didn’t produce them, I feel so proud."

Sooyoung showed a special affection for the youngest member, Hyein, in particular. She joked, "I should have given birth to her! Seriously, I think I should have given birth to Hyein," making the two Girls' Generation members laugh. Hyoyeon added, "Of course, you like the tall ones better," causing more laughter.
