Felix from Stray Kids has been appointed as a goodwill ambassador for the Korean Committee of UNICEF.
Felix attended the appointment ceremony held at JYP's headquarters on September 21st(KST), where he expressed his motivation, saying, "I want to protect the pure happiness of all children."
He also shared his gratitude, stating, "I'm thankful for the love I've received from fans, and I want to give all my strength to share that love with children."
Jo Mi Jin, Secretary-General of the Korean Committee for UNICEF, praised Felix, saying, "Felix has consistently embodied the value of sharing in his life, and his heartfelt actions have been an inspiration to many." She added, "We look forward to the positive influence he will have as a strong supporter of children worldwide."
UNICEF has appointed various public figures as goodwill ambassadors who contribute to society in diverse ways. In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Felix was chosen as the newest ambassador.
The Korean Committee for UNICEF highlighted Felix's past contributions, noting his donation of 150 million won(approximately 125,000 US dollars) to improve children's nutrition and sanitation. He also visited Laos to actively support the growth and well-being of children around the world.
