A debate has sparked among K-netizens after a Korean famous math instructor, Jeong Seungje was found to have liked a revealing video of BJ Seyeon.
On the 17th, an online community post titled "Famous math instructor liked BJ Seyeon's post" was uploaded, along with an image showing the instructor's account.
The image showed Seyeon wearing a tube top and dancing.
The fact that a well-known math instructor, who is expected to set an example for students, liked such a video has led to criticism, with some questioning if it was inappropriate behavior for an educator.
Netizens are divided on the issue.
Supporters argue, "Let's not overreact to just a 'like.' Everyone knows mistakes happen when scrolling through Instagram," and "'Likes' on Instagram are often accidental." Others added, "Even if he liked it, why does it matter? Teachers are human too, let's not censor them," and "He didn’t commit a crime, so the criticism seems unnecessary."
On the other hand, critics expressed, "But still, he's a teacher...," "I'm shocked," "How can we be sure it was a mistake?" and "The fact that such videos even pop up in his feed is disappointing." Some went further, saying, "I've never accidentally liked a post. If it was a mistake, wouldn’t he have canceled it immediately?"
Meanwhile, BJ Seyeon made headlines last month when she was seen walking in Beverly Hills, LA, with HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk.
Born in 2000, Seyeon started streaming in 2019 and has since gained a large following across various platforms, including AfreecaTV, YouTube, and TikTok. Recently, she drew even more attention by appearing on the Netflix original show 'The Influencer.'
