Singer and actor Lee Junho recently shared his experience with the extreme actions of obsessive fans, commonly known as "sasaeng fans."
On September 24th(KST), the YouTube channel 'TEO' released an episode titled “This Fox, you score 10 out of 10 | EP.59 Lee Junho | Salon Drip 2,” in which Lee Junho appeared as a guest.
During the episode, Junho was asked if he invites friends over to his home. He responded, “These days, I’m so exhausted and busy that my home feels too precious. I just want to spend time alone, so I don’t invite anyone over.”
Co-host Jang Do Yeon jokingly referred to Junho’s famous song 'My House,' teasing him with, “That’s contradictory—you told people to come to your house.”
Junho then opened up about the unintended consequences of the song’s popularity. “Since 'My House' became so popular, and I kept singing 'come to my house' everywhere, a lot of people actually started coming to my house,” he revealed, sharing his struggles with obsessive fans.
He recounted one particularly scary incident, saying, “I could hear footsteps at 3 AM. My doorbell was ringing, and I have two bells—one for the main entrance and one for my apartment. It was my personal doorbell that kept ringing. I woke up, terrified. I answered the intercom, disguising my voice, and asked 'who’s there?' but they would casually reply, 'isn’t this Junho’s house?'”
The alarming behavior didn’t stop there. Junho also shared an unsettling encounter he had near the elevator at his apartment.
“After coming home late from work, just as the elevator door was closing, I heard someone call out 'oppa.' I felt a chill,” he recalled. Junho asked the mystery woman who she was, and she replied, “I came from another country because you told me to come to your house.” Junho expressed his disbelief, saying, “It made me realize that people might actually take my words literally.”
Despite these uncomfortable experiences, Junho expressed his affection for his fans.
He explained the origin of his nickname “Lee Fox,” saying, “Because 'My House' was so loved, I started wearing a red shirt on programs, and that’s how I got the nickname.”
In a heartwarming gesture, Junho also shared how he makes sure fans who skip meals to see him are well-fed. “I once bought food for fans with my own money, and later, the members and I all chipped in to do it together,” he said, adding, “I just want my fans to always enjoy delicious meals.”
