As fellow K-Pop fans, have you ever noticed that some groups tend to stick with certain concepts once they find success with them? It's always exciting to see a group discover their unique style, but sometimes, fans crave something completely different. While it might be out of their comfort zone, here are seven concepts that fans would love to see these K-pop idols explore.
1. ATEEZ & Classic School Boy
ATEEZ is known for their intense, masculine concepts. From the energetic “Bouncy” to the fierce “Work,” their typical themes are strong, edgy, and bold. However, off the stage, they’re one of the gentlest groups around. It would be refreshing to see them tackle a classic school boy concept. While this style is usually seen in the early stages of debut for most male idol groups, it would be an intriguing twist for ATEEZ to take on this kind of look.
2. RIIZE & Hip Hop
RIIZE nailed the house genre during their promotions for “Impossible.” Now, imagine them taking on a hip hop concept—edgier, bolder, and full of attitude. We got a taste of what this could look like through their rendition of NCT 127's “Walk” challenge, but fans are eager for more!
3. KISS OF LIFE & Fairy Whimsical
The members of KISS OF LIFE give off magical, whimsical vibes, don’t you think? With their vocal range and enchanting presence, it would be amazing to see them perform songs that transport listeners to a fairytale world.
4. (G)I-DLE & Bubblegum Pop
Since their debut, (G)I-DLE has been synonymous with the girl crush concept. Even with their recent release of “Klaxon,” which had a more summery vibe, they haven’t ventured into bubblegum pop territory. Given the members' versatility, it would be fascinating to see them embrace a super girly, all-pink, bubblegum pop style.
5. NCT Wish & Dark / Edgy
NCT Wish’s concept is already well-known for its sophisticated and polished style, but what if they ventured into darker, edgier territory? Stepping out of their comfort zone and embracing a fierce, bold look could create a whole new dynamic for the group.
6. Oh My Girl & Femme Fatale
Oh My Girl has always been known for their upbeat, vibrant, and girly concepts. However, as the group matures, it would be interesting to see them adopt a more mature, femme fatale style. Imagine them taking on a concept similar to SISTAR’s “Give It To Me” or “Alone”—it would show a whole new side to their talent.
7. Stray Kids & Smooth / Sexy
Stray Kids are known for their hardcore performances, from intense dances to powerful rap and vocals that leave a lasting impression. However, it would be exciting to see them switch gears and try a smooth, sexy concept. A style similar to 2PM’s “My House”—suave, simple, yet alluring—would be a great fit for them.
