Global audio and music streaming platform Spotify is celebrating Stray Kids’ new world tour ‘dominATE’ by offering various on- and offline experiences for STAY (Stray Kids’ fandom).
Ahead of Stray Kids’ world tour performances, Spotify has released a playlist titled ‘Stray Kids WORLD TOUR [dominATE SEOUL]’ featuring Stray Kids’ hit songs and audio liners.
In addition, a Spotify booth will be set up at the KSPO DOME in Seoul, where fans can enjoy a photo zone, receive limited-edition Stray Kids goods such as photo card pouches and sticker packs, and have a richer experience at the concert venue.
Furthermore, Spotify plans to release a playlist in September titled ‘Stray Kids WORLD TOUR [dominATE SEOUL] Live Set,’ which will include live audio from Stray Kids’ KSPO DOME performance. This playlist will feature some songs from the concert setlist along with the members’ stage comments, allowing listeners to experience the excitement and emotion of the live performance.
Spotify has consistently made efforts to connect Stray Kids with listeners worldwide. Starting with introducing Stray Kids to global listeners at ‘Spotify on Stage 2018’ in Jakarta, Indonesia, the platform has also offered a limited-time playlist ‘Idol Lounge,’ where listeners can enjoy music curated by the members, and the ‘Stray Kids Blend’ feature, which creates playlists reflecting both listeners’ and Stray Kids’ music preferences.
In addition, Spotify has provided unique content such as exclusive videos of the members playing games on the ‘K-Pop ON! (ON)’ official YouTube channel and including their collaboration track ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ on the Spotify pop culture playlist ‘what a moment.’
Thanks to these efforts, Stray Kids has shown an average annual growth of 108% in global streams on Spotify since their debut in 2018, with over 8 billion total streams. The top listening regions are the United States, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, and Germany. Currently, Stray Kids has over 11 million monthly listeners and ranked as the second most-streamed K-pop male group globally in Spotify’s ‘Wrapped’ year-end summary for 2023.
Additionally, there are over 6,000 user-generated Stray Kids concert playlists on Spotify. In the month leading up to the Seoul concert, the most streamed songs by global Spotify listeners were “Chk Chk Boom,” “SLASH (From ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’),” and “I Like It.”
