Actress Seo Ye-ji is set to return to official activities after nearly two years.
On August 23, Seo Ye-ji will attend a photo session for a cosmetics brand at a department store in Jung-gu, Seoul.
Seo Ye-ji previously faced allegations, including gaslighting her ex-boyfriend, actor Kim Jung-hyun, fabricating her academic background, and involvement in school violence, which led to her stepping away from the public eye. Although her agency denied the accusations, stating that the claims of school violence were entirely false, it proved difficult to regain public trust.
In an attempt to confront the controversy, Seo Ye-ji made her comeback in 2022 with the tvN drama "Eve," but the show failed to achieve significant success, resulting in a lukewarm reception. Additionally, in November of last year, her contract with her previous agency expired.
However, Seo Ye-ji hinted at a return to the spotlight by resuming activity on her social media accounts in May. In June, she announced her new exclusive contract with Sublime, signaling her intent to restart her career.
As Seo Ye-ji makes her first public appearance under her new agency, there is growing interest in whether she will also reconnect with the public through new projects in the near future.
