On August 1, the subject of Seunghan's possible appearance on the Mnet survival show became a trending topic on online communities. The poster wrote, "RIIZE's Seunghan seems like he'll appear on 'Boys Planet 2'. I don't think he'll return to RIIZE, but I think he'll leave SM Entertainment and make a surprise appearance on 'Boys Planet 2'. It seems like a lot of former trainees of big labels appear on Mnet survival shows."

'Boys Planet' is a reality competition show that aired from February 2 to April 20 of 2023, and the final 9 winners later debuted as ZEROBASEONE.

As previously reported, Seunghan has been on an indefinite hiatus from RIIZE since November of last year due to a string of controversies, including a hotel visit with an underaged girlfriend before his debut, allegations he made fun of LE SSERAFIM's Hong Eunchae during an Instagram live, and footage of him smoking on the street leaked online. As of today, Seunghan has been inactive longer than he's promoted as a member of RIIZE.
