Actor Lee Dong Wook recently opened up about his feelings towards his close friend Jo Se Ho's upcoming marriage, expressing a bit of playful disappointment.
On August 13, the YouTube channel 'Ddeunddeun' uploaded a video titled "Celebrating 2 Million Subscribers is just an excuse." In the video, Yoo Jae Suk invited guests Ji Suk Jin, Lee Dong Wook, and Nam Chang Hee to celebrate the milestone, acknowledging their support for the channel.
During the conversation, Lee Dong Wook mentioned Jo Se Ho, saying, "It's been a while since I last heard that name. I haven't heard 'Jo Se Ho' in a long time." Lee Dong Wook revealed that it had been over a month since he last saw Jo Se Ho. When Yoo Jae Suk explained that Jo Se Ho had been busy with dating and wedding preparations, Lee Dong Wook jokingly responded, "I guess we won't see each other much anymore," hinting at his feelings of being left out.
This prompted laughter from Yoo Jae Suk and Nam Chang Hee, with Yoo Jae Suk teasingly saying, "Why are you sulking over Se Ho getting married?" Lee Dong Wook, while denying that he was sulking, admitted to feeling a bit neglected.
In addition to discussing his friendship with Jo Se Ho, Lee Dong Wook also shared his thoughts on dating. He confessed, "I don't think I can date anymore. It's too exhausting. When you date, you have to get close to someone. How do you even do that? It feels so distant." Yoo Jae Suk empathized, noting that the longer one goes without dating, the more daunting it becomes to start again. Lee Dong Wook added, "I've become too comfortable being alone."
When asked directly if he wanted to date, Lee Dong Wook replied, "I want to, but it's just too much effort." Yoo Jae Suk advised, "If it feels like too much effort, then you shouldn't force it."
Lee Dong Wook also shared his concern about the challenges of finding a meaningful relationship as he grows older, noting that his daily routine leaves little opportunity to meet new people naturally. He admitted, "There really aren't any situations where I meet people. It's hard to meet someone naturally."
Currently busy with back-to-back filming projects, Lee Dong Wook explained that on his days off, he prefers to be alone at home. He shared, "When I'm home alone, I can watch whatever I want on OTT platforms. But if there's even one other person with me, I have to consider their preferences too."
