ITZY member Ryujin made a cryptic remark.
On August 4, Ryujin posted several photos on her Instagram. The photos included four human figures made from bottle caps holding sharp toothpicks and pictures of four animal figurines.
The message read, "We are professionals. We only move if we are paid."
Some netizens speculated, "Does this hint at a conflict with their agency?" and "Is there an issue with their payments?"
ITZY, now in their sixth year, is approaching their contract renewal with JYP Entertainment. With their contract renewal period approaching, many wonder if Ryujin had expressed dissatisfaction with JYP Entertainment.
Meanwhile, ITZY is preparing for a comeback as member Lia, who had paused her activities last year, has returned.
In her comeback broadcast, Lia announced, "I am working hard to return with our upcoming new release," hinting at her return to activities. Fans, who had eagerly awaited the complete ITZY lineup with Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna, sent their enthusiastic support.
Following Lia's return, ITZY will continue their second world tour, 'ITZY 2ND WORLD TOUR,' with performances in Asia this month.
Having recently completed their North American tour, ITZY will hold solo concerts in Taipei on July 20, Manila on August 3, and Hong Kong on August 10. They will continue their world tour with 32 shows in 28 locations worldwide.
