Girls' Generation member Sooyoung recently shared news about the group's youngest member (maknae), Seohyun, starting to use informal speech with the older members.
Girls' Generation celebrated their 17th anniversary, and on August 5, Sooyoung posted several photos on her personal Instagram account with the caption, "Happy Birthday, Fany & Soshi & SONE."
She added, "Starting today, Seohyun has decided to use informal speech with the older members," and expressed her longing for Sunny, who couldn't join the gathering, by saying, "I miss you, Soon Kyu (Sunny)."
In response to the post, Seohyun commented, "It's still a bit awkward, but I'll try my best, unnie. Anyway, GG FOREVER," marking the first time she used informal speech with the members in a comment since their debut, which drew attention.
Yuri replied with a comment, "Cute Seohyun, using informal speech for the first time in 23 years," showing her affection for the youngest member. Seohyun responded, "Has it really been 23 years?"
Girls' Generation, who debuted in 2007 with their single album 'Into the New World,' celebrated their 17th anniversary this year. They made a comeback in 2022 with their 7th full album 'FOREVER 1' to celebrate their 15th anniversary.
The group revealed their gathering on August 5 for their 17th debut anniversary, with all members present except for Sunny, who couldn't attend due to her schedule.
