BELIFT LAB recently announced that ILLIT’s Moka has sustained a leg injury and will be unable to perform as planned at ILLIT’s upcoming events. Instead, she will be performing while seated until she recovers.
An official statement was released by BELIFT LAB on August 9:
“Hello.
This is BELIFT LAB.
We want to update you on the upcoming schedules for ILLIT’s Moka.
Moka sustained a leg muscle injury this week and has been advised by medical staff to rest. She will participate in ‘MUSIC EXPO’ on August 11 and ‘Music Core’ on August 12, but will remain seated on stage and not be performing the choreography. We kindly ask for your understanding.
BELIFT LAB prioritizes medical advice and the artist’s recovery above all else and plans to manage Moka’s work schedule flexibly.
We will do our best to help Moka recover and return in good health.
Thank you.”
Fans are currently speculating whether the injury may have occurred as a result of ILLIT’s recent participation in ISAC (Idol Star Athletics Championships), a sports competition for idols. ILLIT was recently revealed to have participated in ISAC and to have won multiple contests during this year’s competition.
