Hyeri and Park Se-wan showcased their wit in a recent appearance.
On the 5th, a video titled "The video where the Jjanhyung cooking team was in big trouble due to unexpected speed" was uploaded on the YouTube channel "Jjanhyung Shindongyup."
On this day, Hyeri and Park Se-wan, the main actors of the movie Victory, appeared as guests. Victory is a movie about the "Millennium Girls," a cheerleading club filled with nothing but passion, who cheer everyone on with exciting dance and songs. In the movie, Hyeri plays Pil-seon, an aspiring dancer who lives for dancing, and Park Se-wan plays Mina, Pil-seon's partner in the "Geoje Dance Combo," bringing their characters to life.
Park Se-wan shared a challenging episode from filming, saying, "Facial expressions were the hardest. I truly respect everyone who performs on stage. The day before, I deliberately watched videos of G-Dragon. Winking, those kinds of things. So I decided in advance which lyrics to bite my tongue on and went to the shoot," which drew laughter.
She continued, "Since I can't improvise, I practiced it over and over at night in the dorm. G-Dragon sunbaenim (senior) did it," she recalled, and when they were doing the drinking game "Wave" during the show, Shin dong-yup commented, "You have a hip-hop vibe," to which she jokingly replied, "I'm 'Won Dragon'."
Hyeri talked about attending the New York Film Festival for Victory, saying, "When Westerners see us, both Se-wan and I look like kids, right? We went to a steakhouse with movie industry people. They suggested we have a glass of wine, so we were waiting, but they didn't give us wine glasses at all. When we asked for them, they said, 'You're too young.' So I said, 'I'm thirty,' but they didn't believe me. I ended up showing them my passport," she shared, drawing attention.
Shin dong-yup also shared a heartwarming story about Hyeri. He said, "I was really surprised while working with Hyeri on a show. First, she's genuinely funny and has a great sense of humor. And whether the camera is on or off, she's equally kind and warm-hearted," he began. He continued, "What really surprised me was when Hyeri had to leave the show Amazing Saturday due to drama work and other commitments. She organized a final dinner with all the staff and unexpectedly started an event. She began a lucky draw, and the first prize was something worth hundreds of thousands of won. The prizes under that were also worth a lot, and she must have spent millions of won," which surprised everyone.
He added, "She didn't let any celebrities participate and wanted to give all the gifts to the staff. Watching her take care of everyone and give out gifts, I felt a lump in my throat and was really moved. It was one of the most touching moments I've experienced in my decades of broadcasting," he shared. Hyeri responded, "I became really attached to Amazing Saturday, and I consider it a program that opened another peak in my career, so I was only filled with gratitude. I thought about what I could do to repay that, but just expressing my feelings with words felt lacking. So I went around the Galleria department store," she said, showing her cool side by adding, "I received so much more than I gave, so it's nothing."
Hyeri's playful side was also revealed. Park Se-wan said, "When Hyeri would go to the bathroom, she would keep telling me to say 'Mina is going to the bathroom' into the mic. All of us rookie actors fell for it and did it," she exposed. She continued, "When I appeared on 'Hyel's Club,' she told me that I had to clap for each camera in front of the slate. So I did it. The really shocking part was that even the staff went along and said, 'Yes, Se-wan, you have to do it,'" she lamented.
In response, Shin dong-yup said, "(Hyeri) is a real prankster. You can think of her as the female version of P.O," to which Hyeri shook her head and said, "P.O is," shaking her head. Shin dong-yup then asked, "Is he below you?" and Hyeri emphasized, "P.O is definitely below me," causing laughter. She also added, "No matter what he does, I've never laughed at him. He learned everything from me. When he first joined Amazing Saturday, he was totally nervous," and added, "P.O's pranks are just for his own satisfaction," which brought more laughter.
Meanwhile, Victory is set to be released on the 14th.
