Honey J, the renowned dancer and choreographer, recently appeared on "Bbaebo TV" and shared her emotional experience of stepping away from her long-time collaboration with artist Jay Park.
On August 20th, a video titled "Honey J, Who Became Even More Lovely After Love Was Born" was posted on the Bbaebo TV channel. In the video, Honey J caught up with Song Eun-i, expressing her gratitude after being treated to a premium Korean beef omakase. She also shared updates on her daughter, who has recently turned one year old, revealing that Love, her daughter, is surprisingly affectionate and rarely cries.
When asked which "Street Woman Fighter" leader she hopes her daughter would take after, Honey J mentioned Hyojin Choi and Aiki, praising their bright energy with a smile.
The conversation then shifted to the recent "Waterbomb" event, where Honey J had joined Jay Park on stage as a dancer for the first time in three years. Reflecting on her long-standing relationship with Jay Park, Honey J revealed, "After 'Street Woman Fighter' became a success, Jay Park, in a positive way, told me not to dance behind him anymore and to elevate my own value as an artist. I was so grateful for his words."
However, Honey J admitted that it was not easy to step away after nearly a decade of working with Jay Park. "It felt like losing a job, and I couldn’t help but cry. I always took pride in that work because even though I was a dancer for an artist, I always thought of it as my stage. It’s a great opportunity, but it also made me sad that I couldn’t continue doing something I loved."
Honey J also confessed, "It’s a bit difficult to say this, but I haven’t watched a single performance in three years," highlighting her deep affection for her time on stage with Jay Park.
