Actor Lee Dong Wook and SHINee's Minho made headlines after appearing at the 2024 Paris Olympics' women's team table tennis bronze medal match.
On August 10 KST, the South Korean women's table tennis team (Shin Yu Bin, Lee Eun Hye, and Jeon Ji Hee) faced off against the German team (Shan Xiaona, Wan Yuan, and Annett Kaufmann) in the bronze medal match at the South Paris Arena 4. Meanwhile, Lee Dong Wook and Minho were recently named the first-ever 'Olympic Friends' by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The 'Olympic Friends' program is a new initiative by the IOC that allows celebrities, rather than athletes, to participate in and promote Olympic values. Lee Dong Wook and Minho are the first individuals worldwide to be given this title.
