The music video for "What is Love?", the title track of TWICE's fifth mini-album released on April 9, 2018, surpassed 800 million views on YouTube around 4:30 AM on July 27.
With this milestone, TWICE has achieved their first music video to reach 800 million views, setting a new record for the group.
"What is Love?" is a song written and composed by JYP Entertainment's chief producer Park Jin-young. It features lyrics that express the curiosity of girls who learn about love through books, movies, and dramas, combined with a bright and bouncy melody.
The music video, where the members transform into famous movie characters and exude their unique lovable energy, has received immense love from fans both domestically and internationally.
In addition to "What is Love?" reaching 800 million views, TWICE boasts several other high-view music videos, including "TT," "LIKEY," and "FANCY" with 600 million views each, and "CHEER UP," "I CAN'T STOP ME," "Feel Special," and "OOH-AHH" with 500 million views each. In total, they have 24 music videos, including their Japanese releases and English singles "The Feels" and "MOONLIGHT SUNRISE," each with over 100 million views, maintaining the highest record among girl groups worldwide.
On the 27th and 28th, TWICE became the first K-pop girl group and the first foreign female artist to perform at Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa, Japan, concluding their fifth world tour, "TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR 'READY TO BE'," with a grand finale.
