Suzy is in talks to star in the upcoming mystery thriller series 'Delusion'.
On July 30, Suzy's label Management SOOP responded to reports the actress would be starring in the new drama, clarifying, "It's true Suzy received an offer to star in 'Delusion'. She's currently reviewing the offer." Reports say Suzy was the first actress to receive a casting offer, but due to scheduling conflicts, her casting was canceled. The production for 'Delusion' was later adjusted, and Suzy received an offer once again.
Based on a webtoon, 'Delusion' is a mystery thriller set in 1935 Gyeongseong and 1800s Shanghai. The story follows artist Yun Yi Ho, who's commissioned to paint a portrait of the mysterious vampire hotelier Song Jung Hwa. If cast, Suzy will take on the role of Song Jung Hwa.
The drama will be helmed by director Han Jae Rim of 'The Show Must Go On', 'The King', and 'Emergency Declaration'.
This past March, Han So Hee and Ryu Joon Yeol were also in talks to star in 'Delusion', but both actors put a halt to the discussions after their controversial dating and breakup news.
