Rapper Ch1tkey has revealed he faked his death.
Following earlier reports of Ch1tkey's death, the rapper posted on social media to let his followers know it was all a hoax. Previously, reports stated Ch1tkey had allegedly fallen to his death after trying to fulfill a social media challenge, and his girlfriend posted a tribute to him on Instagram. News quickly spread through online communities and social media that the rapper was pronounced dead at the hospital, while his acquaintance confirmed the reports were true.
Netizens then pointed out Ch1tkey had in fact been playing his favorite game until the presumed date of his death, and there were no records of a fire department response at the time of the alleged accident. One netizen claimed, "Someone I know lives in the apartment building where Ch1tkey lives. The police came, and someone inside said it was a stunt to draw attention for his album. Both his girlfriend and Ch1tkey were present."
As the reports continued, Cht1key revealed his death was a hoax by directly posting to social media, "Hello," and sharing his new track "Back".
