On July 17 KST, Mnet announced that Taemin would be the solo MC for the revamped 2024 season of 'Road to Kingdom.'

The lineup of seven participating groups includes The New Six, The Crew One (ATBO and JUST B), 8TURN, ONEUS, YOUNITE, CRAVITY, and TEMPEST. With the addition of Taemin as the MC, excitement for the new season of 'Road to Kingdom' is building rapidly.

This will mark Taemin's debut as a solo MC, drawing significant attention. The production team stated, "There was no other candidate for the MC role. As a senior and role model to the junior boy groups, Taemin has unique insights to share," expressing high expectations for his performance as the MC.

Taemin, SHINee’s main dancer and a prominent male solo performer in K-pop, debuted in 2008 at the age of 14. He has been actively involved in global activities as a SHINee member and established a solid solo career.

The new season of Mnet's 'Road to Kingdom' will premiere in September.
