The late Park Bo Ram's first song, "As Time Goes By," will be re-released at the request of her family and colleagues.
Xanadu Entertainment announced on July 24 that in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Park Bo Ram's debut, her popular song "As Time Goes By," along with other previously released tracks, will be re-released on her debut date, August 7.
"As Time Goes By" is a song Park Bo Ram performed flawlessly in an R&B version during the first live broadcast stage of Mnet's 'Superstar K2' in 2010, earning high praise from the judges. It was also the last song she recorded while preparing for her 10th-anniversary album, making it a meaningful track that marked both the beginning and end of her career.
According to Xanadu Entertainment, the decision to release this album was made at the request of Park Bo Ram's family and colleagues. Fellow contestants from 'Superstar K2' and acquaintances who appeared with her are also participating in this 10th-anniversary album as a tribute to Park Bo Ram.
Xanadu Entertainment stated, "We decided to release the album to honor Park Bo Ram's 10th anniversary. The proceeds from this album will be donated in her name to help elderly people living alone, orphans, and other marginalized groups in need."
The song "As Time Goes By" and Park Bo Ram's 10th-anniversary album will be released on various online music platforms on August 7 at 6 PM.
Meanwhile, Park Bo Ram tragically passed away on April 11 after collapsing at a friend's house in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, during a gathering. Although she was rushed to the hospital, she could not be saved. An autopsy conducted by the National Forensic Service later suggested that the cause of death was acute alcohol poisoning.
