On the 28th, Asia's largest regional OTT platform, Viu, reported that SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Good Partner' ranked 4th in Indonesia, 5th in Malaysia, 6th in Hong Kong, 7th in Singapore and Myanmar, and 8th in Thailand on the Viu weekly chart for the third week of July (July 15 to July 21).
During the same period, the 4th episode, aired in Korea, achieved its highest viewership rating of 13.7% (Nielsen Korea, nationwide) and topped the TV drama category in buzzworthiness (Good Data Corporation). This indicates simultaneous success both domestically and internationally.
'Good Partner' is a human legal office drama featuring star divorce lawyer Cha Eun-kyung (Jang Na Ra) and rookie lawyer Han Yuri (Nam Ji-hyun), who is handling her first divorce case.
The drama has been praised for its portrayal of two very different individuals gradually understanding each other and growing, thus resonating with viewers.
Additionally, it is believed that the high-ranking performance of Jang Nara's previous work, 'My Happy Ending,' in Viu countries during the first quarter of this year positively influenced the rapid rise of 'Good Partner' in the charts.
Viu, a regional OTT platform under Hong Kong's PCCW, distributes popular Korean content to 16 countries in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
