ATEEZ's San addressed recent allegations of racial discrimination at a Dolce & Gabbana event held on July 2 in Nora, Sardinia, Italy.
On July 8, San spoke about his experience at the Dolce & Gabbana event during a live stream on a fan community platform.
First, San explained the outfit that had sparked the controversy. He said, "A total of 10 outfits were prepared for my fitting. The staff thought the one in question was pretty, and I also felt it was wearable. From a modern artistic perspective, I thought the clothes looked cool. When I discussed it with my company, they agreed that it would be a good challenge."
San also addressed the situation where he appeared uncomfortable sitting without a cushion at the event. He clarified, "I chose to sit that way. The person next to me was quite large, and I'm not small either. Being introverted and in a narrow space, I felt apologetic and moved slightly forward to sit."
He concluded by saying, "I'm saddened by the continuous misunderstandings. Nothing inappropriate happened, and I brought back unforgettable memories from the event. I'm sharing this to prevent further misunderstandings. There was no discrimination. Please don't misunderstand."
