On July 12 KST, actor Shim Hyung Tak's agency ALOMALO HUMAIN Entertainment confirmed with various media outlets that the actor and his wife are expecting their first child. 

Sharing the happy news, Shim Hyung Tak relayed through his agency, "Meeting Saya and marrying her felt to me like a succession of miracles, and now that we are  bearing the fruit of our love through a child, I'm overcome with emotion. I will be a good father and protect my family as long as I live." 

According to reports, Shim Hyung Tak's wife, Hirai Saya, is currently 13-weeks pregnant. Her due date is some time at the end of January, 2025. 

Meanwhile, Shim Hyung Tak married Hirai Saya, a woman 18-years younger than him, in August of 2023. The international couple then gained TV fame after appearing on TV programs such as 'Groom's Class' and 'Lovers of Joseon'. In particular, Hirai Saya garnered attention as a look-alike of BTS member Jungkook, of whom she is a fan. Most recently, Shim Hyung Tak and Hirai Saya celebrated their wedding anniversary with a witty, themed party featuring celebrity standee(?) guests.
