Source Music has approached a U.S. court for assistance in obtaining information about the YouTube channel Issuefeed. Known for its controversial content, Issuefeed has been labeled a "cyber wrecker" by various sources due to its tendency to spread groundless rumors and misinformation about K-pop artists.
Source Music's legal action highlights the entertainment industry's increasing worry about the effects of malicious online behavior. Issuefeed, which has gained a large following by posting sensational and often baseless claims, has been a significant problem for many K-pop agencies and artists.
In their suit, Source Music has asked a U.S. court to force YouTube (and parent company Google/Alphabet) to reveal information about who is behind Issuefeed.
One netizen explained, "On May 31, 2024, a request for the disclosure of personal information was submitted to a U.S. court (This is similar to the approach taken during the Sojang case).
Particularly, with the charge of spreading false information about LE SSERAFIM's "SMART" being specified, it seems likely that those who have been spreading or sharing these rumors will find it difficult to avoid criminal charges."
Following this news, Issuefeed's YouTube channel was deleted.
Korean netizens commented:
"That's so low."
"There was a reason they closed the channel and ran."
"Each of these channels is going to get punished now."
'Is this real? Sojang's information was revealed because Starship took this to the US."
"Wow."
"Justice will be served."
"This channel is more serious because it's not operated by one person. It was like a company running it."
"What about feedbox?"
"This is awesome."

Ya know, it's in YouTube's terms of service that you not make a channel that promotes these types of hateful, defaming things, but yet when YouTube is faced with having to give these people up, they always make it harder than it should be. If YouTube doesn't want to face this, they should at least delete these channels when they violate the terms of service in the first place.
